LAS VEGAS, July 14, 2016 – Today at Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference, Tufin®, the market-leading provider of Network Security Policy Orchestration solutions, announced integration of the Tufin Orchestration Suite™ with Cisco® Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI™) to deliver unified security policy management across physical and public, private and hybrid cloud networks. This integration enables customers to centrally manage application security policies from behind a single pane of glass. It also manages and controls micro-segmentation across hybrid networks, simplifies regulatory compliance and audit readiness, and expands visibility and control across all enterprise platforms, such as physical networks and firewalls, cloud platforms and software-defined networking (SDN) platforms.
SDN is quickly becoming the new standard for networking. According to a recent survey Tufin commissioned with Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), 79% of respondents say they are committed to SDN as a long-term strategy and are already implementing various technologies or conducting proofs of concept. However, organizations are struggling to cope with complexity arising out of the challenge of applying policies across heterogeneous environments — for example, 49% of respondents say they don’t feel the security team has the right level of cloud computing skills to provide the same types of network security controls and oversight as it does on physical networks.
“Tufin brings efficiency to network security operations at a time when corporate networks are becoming more complex and experiencing constant change,” said Yousuf Khan, VP of Technical Marketing, INSBU, Cisco. “Cisco and Tufin have been working for over a year on integration to deliver greater security orchestration, visibility and compliance capabilities to the modern data center.”
Cisco ACI is a policy-based network automation solution that integrates physical and virtual environments to achieve consistent control and visibility for accelerated application delivery, reduced operating costs, and greater business agility. Cisco ACI improves network security through micro-segmentation, which is achieved by abstracting the network, devices, and services into a hierarchical, logical object model. Tufin Orchestration Suite is a unified platform for orchestrating application connectivity across the corporate enterprise network. It provides visibility, compliance and automated provisioning for application flows across heterogeneous environments including firewalls, hybrid cloud platforms and now, also, Cisco ACI.
“The combination of Cisco ACI and Tufin Orchestration Suite enables customers to realize the benefits of an SDN architecture in a heterogeneous environment, while deploying their applications faster than ever with uncompromised security and compliance,” said Reuven Harrison, CTO and co-founder at Tufin. “Agility is everything in today’s business landscape, and the Cisco ACI platform is second to none when it comes to the ability to deploy and configure networks and applications in seconds.”
Tufin demonstrated the integration of the Tufin Orchestration Suite with Cisco ACI at Cisco Live USA in Las Vegas this week. For more information please read the solution brief.
